MIAMI WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER

My friends call me Gabe. You can call me Gabe. My wife calls me when she wants a shaken espresso.

Wedding photography is my craft, not my job. This is the way I pay bills, but jobs feel like work, you quit or retire from your job. You don’t quit doing something you love. I’m eternally grateful to have found this career and for the freedom, joy and connections that I’ve enjoyed as a wedding photographer.

I live with my wife and our dogs in Miami, Florida. I’m available to couples with weddings in South Florida. Being born and raised here and of Cuban decent means I know the place like the back of my hand, like… literally.

When I’m not writing my website bio or editing your wedding photos I’m conducting 1-on-1 photo tutoring sessions at Leica Store Miami. I love punk rock and live music festivals and tattoos. I write music with my friends, test out Tik-Tok advice on how to train our dog Ziggy to let go of rocks and I spend time exploring nature and pizza stores with my wife Lauren. I’m happily the cook around here, so if you have any advice on low calorie hacks or decadent smash burgers I’m all ears.

If you really need to know more about me it’s that I’ve made very little of my living doing something that isn’t visual communication. I went to Design and Architecture Sr. High for graphic design, and started working at 16. I quit that job around 2018 to be a full time wedding photographer, because I love meeting people, being on my feet, and producing art directly for the person that it’s most meaningful to.

As a fan of and collector of tattoos, I see the direct connection I have with my clients, and the permanence that capturing your wedding day in a very similar way. I pick up some mottos from the tattoo world, like “bold will hold”, and respect for traditions.

Above all wedding photography is a service industry. You’ll get art, because I’m passionate about my work and the effect it has on you, but you’ll also have a good time on your big day. After hundreds of weddings nothing can shake my zen like attitude when I’m shooting, and if you’re looking to me to tell if you’re running late my answer will always be that you’re right on time, right where you need to be.
